Viele BergsteigerInnen und WanderInnen sind außerordentlich literaturinteressiert. Das ist kein statistisch erhobener Trend, sondern eine jahrzehntelang beobachtete Tatsache: man braucht sich nur in der beeindruckend vielfältigen Bibliothek des Hans-Berger-Hauses im hinteren Kaisertal umzusehen.
Und als einmal mehr ein gemütlicher BergsteigerInnen-Hüttenabend am HBH unversehens zur literarischen Empfehlungsrunde geriet, in der es von Buchkritiken wie: Einsame Spitze!, Das Höchste, was ich je in die Hand bekommen habe!, und Das MUSST du einfach lesen. Ich leihe es dir! nur so wimmelte da war sie ganz plötzlich da, die Idee für die Gipfel-Bibliothek...
Im Sommer 2006 wird nun die Erste Gipfel-Bibliothek der Welt durch die Initiatorinnen Silvia Huber (Hüttenwirtin und Lese-Freak) und Brigitte Weninger (Autorin und Lese-Freak) offiziell eröffnet (genauer Termin demnächst hier und in der Presse!).
Ab diesem Tag werden die Bergführer der Bergsteigerschule Wilder Kaiser die erste Auswahl von (wetterfest verpackten) Spitzentiteln auf die herrlichen Kaisergipfel tragen. Diese Bücher können dann von literaturbegeisterten BergsteigerInnen mitgenommen, gelesen, kommentiert und später (wetterfest verpackt) auf einem anderen schönen Gipfel dieser Welt wieder hinterlegt werden.
Alle Eintragungen zu diesem speziellen Gipfelbuch erfolgen auf der Homepage www.gipfelbibliothek.com. So lassen sich die Fund- und Deponie-Orte der Bücher genau dokumentieren.
Die Auswahl der Titel für die Bibliothek kann selbstverständlich nur rein subjektiv sein jedes Jurymitglied steht gewissermaßen mit ihrem/seinem Namen offiziell zu ihrem/ seinem Buch.
??c???Für die erste Staffel haben wir eine Reihe von Menschen, die Literatur, die Berge und das Unterwegssein gleichermaßen lieben, eingeladen, uns ihr persönliches Gipfel-Buch zu nennen und ein paar Zeilen dazu zu schreiben. Die aktuelle Auswahl-Liste findet man ebenfalls auf www.gipfelbibliothek.com.
Die TYROLIA-Buchhandlungen haben sich spontan dazu bereit erklärt, uns diese Bücher zur Verfügung zu stellen hinzu kommen noch ein Anzahl der preisgekrönten Sammlung Tiroler Sagen von Brigitte Weninger und Jakob Kirchmayr (TYROLIA-Vlg.)
Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf die Eröffnung und sind davon überzeugt, dass die Bücher der Gipfelbibliothek ebenso viel in den schönsten Gegenden dieser Welt herumkommen werden wie unsere Bergführer, Wander- und Kletter-FreundInnen und Gäste!
